Personal statement
I am an enthusiastic geologist with a keen interest in marine geology and geophysics. With an ongoing Master of Science in Marine Geophysics from Auburn University, I have been actively involved in significant projects and workshops, such as the CASIE21 Project at the Cascadia Subduction Zone and the 2024 ECORD Summer School: Downhole Logging for IODP Science. My academic journey commenced at the University of Dhaka, where I graduated as the top five students in Geosciences.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strong project management abilities and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. My professional experience encompasses roles including Research and Teaching Assistant at Auburn University, Vice President of SPE-Dhaka University Student Chapter, Management trainee at YSSE, and Cultural affairs outreach secretary at BSO. In these capacities, I have pioneered innovative solutions, optimized leadership skills, and adeptly managed field operations.
In addition to my technical expertise, I am proficient in a variety of software and coding languages, including Kingdom Suite, GMT, GIS, R, and Python. My international experiences and volunteer engagements have significantly enriched my professional and personal development, affording me the opportunity to work with diverse teams and contribute to the global geophysical and geological communities.
